1.  Online newsletter presentation by Marianne Conboy

2.  FHS Scholarship

3.  Wrentham campaign office

4.  Re-organization meeting to take place April 9, 2012

5.  Guest speaker Jeffrey Clements, author of Corporations are Not People.

This will be an interesting and exciting discussion of the public policy issue of our generation (efforts to reverse the Citizens United decision).  Jeff Clements is the Co-Founder and General Counsel of Free Speech For People. He served as Assistant Attorney General and Chief of the Public Protection & Advocacy Bureau in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office from early 2007 to 2009. As Bureau Chief, he led more than 100 attorneys and staff in law enforcement and litigation in the areas of civil rights, environmental protection, healthcare, insurance and financial services, antitrust and consumer protection. Mr. Clements also served as an Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts from 1996 to 2000, where he worked on litigation against the tobacco industry and handled a wide range of other investigations and litigation to enforce unfair trade practice, consumer protection and antitrust laws. Mr. Clements filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in Citizens United v. FEC on behalf of five public interest groups arguing that the First Amendment did not shield corporations from campaign finance laws.  If you want to learn more about Jeff Clements and the topic of discussion, please visit:  http://peoplesrightsamendment.org/.  He will have copies of his book available for purchase at the meeting.

We have invited members from area town committees, the Franklin Town Council, and students from FHS to attend the meeting, so it should be an engaging evening.
